No power supply or software drivers needed!
Convert RS-232 TD and RD signals to RS-422, allowing range to be increased from the 50 feet (15 m) specified in the RS-232 standard to 4,000 feet (1.2 km) at data speeds up to 115.2 kbps. No handshake driver control is required since the RS-422 driver and receiver are always enabled.
These models do not require an external power supply. They draw power from the RS-232 handshake lines. If handshake lines are unavailable, choose Model 422PP9TB or 422LPCOR and connect a 12 VDC power supply to the terminal block.
