Universal PCI cards suit most any application. Output can be RS-232, RS-422, or RS-485. Use RS-422 to extend range, RS-485 to extend range and provide multi-drop ability. Optically isolated versions offer true 2000 VDC isolation and port-to-port isolation. DB9M connectors offer positive thumbscrew locking, more robust than phone jack connectors. Four and eight port models include fanout cables. The eight port model has four RS- 232/422/485 and four RS-232 ports. Four port isolated model 3PCIOU4 has two RS-232/422/485 ports and two RS-422/485 ports. All models support baud rates up to 460.8 kbps. Windows 98, ME, NT4.0, 2000, XP, Vista, 7 and Linux 2.4.x supported.
